Alyssa M. Simmons is a Los Angeles based actor/singer. Favorite credits include; Ilse in SPRING AWAKENING (La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts), Penny Pingleton in HAIRSPRAY (3-D Theatricals), Esther Smith in MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS (Cabrillo Music Theatre) and Jo in LITTLE WOMEN (Musical Theatre Guild). She worked with creator/director Roger Bean in originating the role of Willow in SUMMER OF LOVE (World Premiere- Musical Theatre West). Other regional: Andrina in DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID (US Regional Premiere- Tuacahn Center for the Arts), Jan in GREASE (Tuacahn Center for the Arts), Jeannie in HAIR (Egyptian Theatre- Park City, UT), Trix in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE (UT Regional Premiere), and Olive Ostrovsky in THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE (UT Regional Premiere). International tours: THE DIAMOND HORSESHOE (Tokyo Disneyland), THE MUSIC MAKERS (Denmark/Norway/Sweden/Finland tour) and THE NEW AMERICAN SONGBOOK (Australia tour). Training includes the BFA Music Dance Theatre program at Brigham Young University.
