On Sunday, May 6, 2018, popular local singer Keisha D will make her 5th appearance at the Arthur Newman Theater in "An Elegant Afternoon With Keisha D". The show is part of the Cabaret On Sundays Series, now in it's 8th season. Her musical director and pianist will be Alex Danson, and on Guitar will be Jim Moraco.
Tickets for the show are $15 cash only, and doors open at 1 PM and show time is 2 PM. The theater is located in the Joslyn Center at 73750 Catalina Way in Palm Desert.
Keisha D is one of brightest stars in the Palm Springs area, appearing in musicals, reviews, benefit events, and her weekly performances. Keisha was seen as Motormouth Maybelle in "Hairspray", Melpomene in "Zanadu", and The Acid Queen in "The Who's Tommy", all at Palm Canyon Theatre. In 2008 Keisha won Best Vocalist in the acclaimed McCallum Theatre Open Call Competition. Singing on stage since the age of 13, she went on to receive a full scholarship to study music at Azusa Pacific University.
At California Baptist University, she studied Opera and even played the title role of Madame Butterfly. She has toured as both a Jazz and Gospel artist throughout the US, Canada, and the Virgin Islands. This will be Keisha's 5 show for the series presented by Les Michaels.
"An Elegant Afternoon with Keisha D" with her pianist Alex Danson and guitarist Jim Moraco, will feature many of Keisha's most requested songs by her many fans and followers and one not to miss.
