The Broadway Church Ladies will perform their "Back on Broadway" Show at the Triad Theater at 158 West 72nd St, New York City, Saturday, July 17th 7p.m. The Church Ladies, played by Leilani Bryant, Yolanda Wyns, and Teresa Stanley, were the ever-present trio in Oprah Winfrey's Broadway production of The Color Purple. They appear virtually in every scene of the award-winning production, starring Fantasia as Celie. The show is anchored by The Church Ladies whose contrasting personalities blend gossip, song, and comedy.

Now that the show has closed, the women perform as The Broadway Church Ladies. Leilani Bryant is a native of Jacksonville, Florida but now makes her home in New York City. She recently did a reading for a stage production of Madam, a play based on the life of the legendary millionaire entrepreneur, Madam C.J. Walker. Among her performing and stage credits, Leilani Bryant appeared as Church Lady, Jarene in the Broadway production of The Color Purple.

Yolanda Wyns has appeared in the Broadway Production of The Color Purple in the role of Church Lady Doris and as the understudy for the role of Sofia. She later joined the National Tour opening the show as the Church Soloist. Her recordings include her 2005 release, "Many Faces," and her gospel release, "A Live Recording of Praise and Worship." Her vocals on European dance hits mixed by internationally known D.J., Joey Negro has made her one of the most recognizable voices around the world.

Teresa Stanley, with a voice like an angel it is evident that Stanley was born to sing and act. It was Teresa's long time dream to appear on Broadway. Her dream came true April 2007 when she was cast in The Color Purple, playing numerous roles and ending the run as Church Lady Darlene. She later joined the US touring production of Ain't Misbehavin, starring Ruben Studdard and Frenchie Davis.
