Ann Morrison (Merrily We Roll Along, LoveMusik, Goblin Market), is the author of "Linda Lovely Goes to Broadway" (Thurs. 10/25), in which she also performs with director Blake Walton at the helm. She directs her other play "Trevor's Fire" (Thurs. 11/1) with Blake Walton performing at the United Solo Festival at Theatre ROW on 42nd Street in Manhattan.

Both plays told in "Story Theater" style, deal with exceptional people that Morrison encountered in her work as a healer and teacher and illuminate a deeper mission each must accomplisH. Linda is a woman with Down Syndrome who is an actress and writer and the play joyously celebrates her inner life and creativity. Morrison reminds us of the beauty that is found when we listen to our hearts and see below the surface. Trevor is what Morrison describes as one of the "Alphabet Children". The 7 year old boy is labeled with ADHD and what clinicians call "the ring of fire on the brain" which keeps his exceptional mind continuously active even in sleep where he has a strange recurring nightmare. Trevor's mother refuses to have him drugged so instead brings to him a woman who helps him to find empowerment in his nightmare and release of his anger and in so doing also begins a healing of himself and those around him.

The world's largest solo theatre festival, established in 2010 at Theatre ROW on 42nd Street in Manhattan, has grown to more than twice its original size. One hundred solo productions will be presented between October 11 and November 18, 2012, among them fifteen shows by artists who successfully performed at the United Solo Festival in the past.

Tickets priced at $18 are available through Telecharge (212.239.6200 and telecharge.com), and in person at the Theatre ROW Box Office. For the full list of performers, the Festival Schedule and more information about United Solo shows, go to www.unitedsolo.org and click "ufest."
