SENSITIVE GUYS - Ten Fifteen Productions Non Equity Auditions

Director Katherine Lacaze is seeking five Female or Non Gender Conforming actors to play multiple roles in our May-June production. Actors should be comfortable playing both male and female characters, and must be of the ethnic background outlined in the character descriptions below.

Rehearsals will be scheduled based on the group’s availability, and will likely include evenings and weekends. Performances run May 29th - June 13th. Actors will receive a $100 stipend at the close of the production.

ABOUT THE SHOW:
The Men’s Peer Education group at Watson College is dedicated to unpacking and exposing male privilege. These “sensitive guys” believe that through increased self-awareness they can end sexual violence on campus; but when a shocking rumor surfaces, the group is shaken to the core. Sensitive Guys features a cast of women and gender nonconforming actors, double-cast as male and female characters, who try to understand men who are trying to understand masculinity.

DANNY: Facilitator. Founder. Senior. White. Upper middle class. (Also plays DIANA)
TYLER: Co-Facilitator. Founder. Senior. Black. Middle class. (Also plays TRACY)
JORDAN: Senior. White. Well-off. (Also plays (KATIE & JONES)
PETE: Sophomore. Working class. Latino and/or Asian-American. (Also plays AMY & DEAN)
WILL: New guy. Freshman. Working class. White. (Also plays LESLIE & ADMISSIONS OFFICER)

ABOUT THE AUDITIONS:
Please arrive by 6:45pm to complete the audition paperwork. Headshots and resumes are welcome, but not required. Bring your calendar and/or a list of any scheduling conflicts between March 29th and June 13th. If you are unable to attend the scheduled dates, but wish to audition, please
contact the theater to make additional arrangements.

OPTIONAL: Actors may prepare a 60-90 second dramatic monologue from this script or any other.
