Auditioners should prepare thirty-two bars of a musical theatre song, in the style of their preferred musical, that best demonstrates their vocal strengths and abilities. Auditioners may sing with a downloaded accompaniment track, or acapella, as no accompanist will be provided. It is strongly recommended that auditioners have a second musical theatre piece prepared. It is also encouraged that a one minute monologue be prepared. Auditioners should review the performance schedule and confirm that they are able to perform in all of the show dates before selecting their audition choices, and should bring a list of any and all anticipated rehearsal and scheduling conflicts. Attendance for all performance dates and tech week rehearsals (the week prior to the show opening) are mandatory. Dance calls and callbacks (by invitation only) will be held at a later date, to be determined.
Directed and choreographed by Naomi Naughton, Annie Get Your Gun centers around the dynamic relationship between Annie Oakley and Frank Butler. Annie Oakley is the best shot around, and she manages to support her little brother and sisters by selling the game that she hunts. When she’s discovered by Buffalo Bill, he persuades this novel sharpshooter to join his Wild West Show. She quickly falls head over heels for dashing, shooting ace Frank Butler, who headlines the show. She soon eclipses Butler as the main attraction which, while good for business, is bad for romance. Butler hightails it off to join a rival show, with his bruised male ego leading the way, but is ultimately pitted against Annie in a final shoot-out. The rousing, sure-fire finale hits the mark every time in a testament to the power of female ingenuity.
Directed by Ryan Cook, We Will Rock You is an electrifying and high-energy musical that pays tribute to the iconic, rock-band Queen. Set in a dystopian future, where music is controlled and creativity is stifled, a group of rebels, led by the fearless Galileo and the feisty Scaramouche, rise to fight against the oppressive regime. Their weapon of choice is the power of rock 'n' roll! Featuring Queen's greatest hits, including “Bohemian Rhapsody”, We are the Champions, Somebody to Love, and more, this show takes audiences on a thrilling journey of self-discovery, rebellion, and emphasizes the triumph of the human spirit. With adrenaline-pumping performances, mind-blowing visuals, and a heartwarming message of individuality and freedom, We Will Rock You is a rock spectacle that will have patrons on their feet, singing along, and feeling the pulsating energy of Queen's music like never before.
Directed by Ryan Fogler, Godspell Jr. centers around the gospel according to Saint Matthew, and highlights the stories of Jesus, John the Baptist, and Judas. This poignant musical draws from various theatrical traditions, including clowning, pantomime, charades, acrobatics, and vaudeville. In a world struggling to rebuild, a group of survivors come together to find hope, faith and purpose. Through parables, music and storytelling, they rediscover the power of community and resilience in the face of darkness. With energetic songs like “Day by Day” and “Prepare Ye”, this production transforms an abandoned world into a place of renewal and light. As these lost souls seek guidance, they learn that even in the most broken places, love and hope endure. Godspell Junior is a powerful reminder that faith can thrive, even in the ruins of the past.
Directed by Midge McClosky, Matilda Jr. is a gleefully, witty ode to rebellion, the anarchy of childhood, and the power of imagination! This story of a girl, who dreams of a better life, and the children that she inspires, will have audiences rooting for the revolting children who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson. Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence, and special powers! She's neglected and overlooked by her cruel parents, but she impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, because the school's abhorrent headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules. However, Matilda displays courage and cleverness in equal amounts and might be the school pupils' saving grace! Packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, Matilda Jr. is a joyous, girl-power romp that will thrill and delight children and adults alike.
