SEEKING

Equity actors for roles in The Little Theatre On The Square's 2026 Season (See breakdown).
All ethnicities are encouraged to audition, and all roles are open.

PREPARATION

Please prepare two contrasting song selections of around 1-minute in length each. Feel free to prepare a selection from one of the shows of our season. An Accompanist will be provided. Also, please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

GUYS AND DOLLS

1st Rehearsal: May 18, 2026
Opens: June 4, 2026
Closes: June 14, 2026

SEEKING:

Nicely-Nicely Johnson: Male presenting, B5-D4, 30-45: Just like his name suggests, he is the nicest and cheeriest of the gambling crooks. High-spirited and a bit naïve, but sincere and genuine. Nathan’s loyal friend and lackey.
Benny Southstreet: Male presenting, G5-D4, 30-45: Nathan’s right-hand man and a gambler himself. Smart, slick, always moving and shaking, but with what he thinks are Nathan’s best interest at heart.
Sarah Brown: CAST. Female Presenting, G5-B3, 20-30: A pretty, bright-eyed woman who serves as Sergeant of the local Mission. Idealistic, sheltered, and straightlaced, she is passionate about her cause and wishes to convert the gambling sinners to saints. Falls unexpectedly in love with gambler Sky Masterson along the way.
Arvide Abernathy: CAST. Male presenting. Vocal range top: D4-F5, 50-65. The bass drum and cymbal player in the Mission band is Sarah's loving grandfather. Wise and sweet, he wants nothing but the best for her.
Harry The Horse: Male presenting, G5-F3, 35-55: A crook and gambler. He is a tough guy with dollar signs as his bottom line. Brings Big Jule into Nathan’s craps game and backs his cheating, but is also a man of his word in the gambling community.
Lt. Brannigan: CAST. Male presenting, 40-55: A New York police officer who is on to Nathan’s illegal craps games and is dead set on catching him. A tough, no-nonsense character.
Nathan Detroit: Male presenting, F5-D4, 35-45: A good-hearted gambler and craps game organizer who could never hit the bigtime. He loves Adelaide but cannot quit his gambling ways. A broke schemer with unwitting ways.
Miss Adelaide: Female presenting, F5 – A3, 25-35: Nathan’s fiancé and a lead performer at the Hot Box nightclub. She loves Nathan more than anything in the world and desperately wants to get married. Pretty, outspoken, stubborn.
Sky Masterson: Male presenting, E5-B3, 30-45: A high-stakes gambler whose luck never seems to run out, and a wild card who surprises himself when he falls in love with missionary Sarah Brown. Suave, smart, handsome.
Big Jule: Male presenting, G5-F3, 30-50: A big-time craps player from Chicago who uses a gun and his own pair of rigged dice to bully his way into never losing. Tough looking. A bit of an oaf.
Ensemble: (3 male & 4 female presenting, various ages, should sing and dance well) Sightseers, Mission Band (Agatha, Calvin, Martha), Crap Shooters (Liver Lips Louie, Angie The Ox, Rusty Charlie), Hot Box Girls, Waiters, Cuban Dancers.

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS

1st Rehearsal: June 4, 2026

Closes: June 28, 2026

SEEKING:

Mr. Mushnik: G2-F4, Male Presenting, 55 to 65. The seasoned owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour's nosy boss. He is profit-driven, greedy, and manipulative.
Voice Of The Plant: G2-G4, Male Presenting, 25 to 50. A vocalist located offstage. The voice is that of a conniving, street-smart 'villain.' His voice is a cross between Otis Redding, Barry White and Wolfman Jack. A funky Rhythm and Blues voice.
Crystal, Ronnette and Chiffon: Ab3-F5 Female presenting, women of color, 21-35, They act as the occasional Greek Chorus. Young, hip, and smart, these girls are the only ones who have a grip on reality.
Seymour Krelborn: A2-G4, Male Presenting, 25-35. An insecure, put-upon florist's clerk and eventual hero. He is a genuine, well-meaning man who is taken for granted because of his clumsy ways and poor social skills.
Orin Scrivello: G2-G4, Male Presenting, 30-40. An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey's abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour.
Audrey: G#3-D5, Female presenting, 25-35. Bleached-blond, Billie-Dawn-like, secret love of Seymour's life. She has poor self-worth and education, but incredibly good looks and a sweet and vulnerable demeanor.
The Plant (Audrey II), Puppeteer: Any Gender, Any age. An anthropomorphic cross between a Venus flytrap and an avocado, the plant has an appetite for human flesh that is appeased by Seymour. Puppeteer doubles as other sizes of the plant. Non-Singing.
Ensemble: Any Gender, Any age, Any ethnicity, CUSTOMER, RADIO ANNOUNCER, MR BERNSETIN, MRS LUCE, SKIP SNIP and PATRICK MARTIN and others.

GREATER TUNA

Track Two: Male or Female Presenting. 35-55. Doubles as Arles Struvie, Didi Snavely, Harold Dean Lattimer, Petey Fisk, Jody Bumiller, Stanley Bumiller, Charlene Bumiller, Chad Hartford, Phinas Blye, Vera Carp.

ANNIE

1st Rehearsal: July 2, 2026
Opens: July 17, 2026
Closes: July 26, 2026

SEEKING:

Annie: A3-F5, Female presenting, 9-12. A streetwise orphan. She is eventually taken in by Oliver Warbucks. Spunky, friendly, big-voiced.
Warbucks: CAST. C3-F4, Male Presenting. 50-60. A successful businessman with a warm heart. Rich, stiff-collared, bullish.
Grace Farrell: A3-G5, Female Presenting, 30-40. Faithful secretary to Mr. Oliver Warbucks. Poised, sweet, gentle.
Miss Aggie Hannigan: G3-D5, Female Presenting, 40-55. The orphanage matron who hates children. Very disillusioned, bitter, and cold.
Rooster: B3-G4, Male Presenting, 35-45. Miss Hannigan's no-good younger brother looking for a quick buck. A sleazy, slick con man.
Lily St. Regis: D4-G5, Female presenting, 25-35. Rooster's girlfriend, who is also out for a quick buck. She is not very bright.
Orphans: A3-F5, Female presenting, 9-15. The other girls in the orphanage with Annie. These girls are gritty, neglected and vulnerable, yet basically honest and potentially loveable. Includes Molly, Kate, Tessie, Pepper, July, and Duffy.
Ensemble: Various vocal parts, 4 Male & 4 Female presenting, 25-45 includes the servants at the Warbucks mansion (Drake, Mrs. Pugh, Mrs. Greer, Cecille, and Annette), Presidential Cabinet, President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Bert Healy, The Boylan sisters and Bundles.

COME FROM AWAY

SEEKING:

Claude & others: (male identifying, Age 40-60, Vocal range top: G4) The gregarious and well-liked Mayor of Gander, Newfoundland, Claude loves his work, the townspeople and his daily traditions, but he's never had to deal with a crisis of this magnitude before. Doubles as Derm and Brenda's Brother, Eddie.
Bonnie & others: (female identifying, Age 30-40, Vocal range top B4) A no-nonsense mother of three, Bonnie is the head of the Gander area SPCA. When she discovers animals are trapped on the planes, she stops at nothing to ensure their safety - but in frustration, she often lashes out at those around her. Doubles as Martha.
Beulah & others: (female identifying, Age 40-60) The head of the Gander Legion, with a firefighter son, who walks Hannah to her church and prays with her. Doubles as Delores.
Oz & others: (male identifying, Age 30-50, vocal range top: G4) The quirky constable in the two-person Gander police force. When the town's population suddenly doubles, Oz helps out in unexpected ways. Doubles as Joey, Customs Officer, Mr. Michaels, Terry, Matty, Rabbi, and Head Cardiologist.
Janice & others: (female identifying, Age 20-30, vocal range top: E5) An eager new local TV reporter, Janice is thrown into the deep end on her first day. Initially naïve about the world, Janice must face the pain and confusion around her. Doubles as Britney and Flight Attendant.
Beverley & others: CAST. (female identifying, Age 35-50, vocal range top: C#5) The first female captain for American Airlines Pilot, Beverly Bass has always loved flying, when her world suddenly changes. Doubles as Annette and Reporter.
Diane & others: (female identifying, Age 50-60, vocal range top C#5, bottom A3) A traditional divorcee from Texas, who is terrified that her son may have been flying at the time of the attacks. When she finds out that he's safe, she's given a new lease on life and discovers a wilder, more carefree side of herself. Doubles as Crystal and Brenda.
Nick & others: CAST. (male identifying, Age 50-60, vocal range top E4) An English oil engineer who is focused on his work, Nick's life is turned upside down when he falls for Diane. Doubles as Doug, Officer Stephenson, and Male Townsperson.
Kevin T & others: (male identifying, Age 30-50, vocal range top G4) The head of an environmental energy company in Los Angeles, Kevin was on vacation with his boyfriend (and secretary, also named Kevin), when they are stranded in Gander. Inspired by the town's generosity, Kevin creates the Pay It Forward Foundation. Doubles as Garth and President Bush.
Kevin J & others: CAST. (male identifying, Age 30-50, Middle Eastern) Kevin's boyfriend and secretary. Sarcastic and unhappy, he wants to leave as soon as possible. Doubles as Dwight and Ali.
Bob & others: (male identifying, Age 20-40, Black /African American) A hardened New Yorker, Bob is suspicious of where he's landed, fearing that it's World War 3, that someone is going to shoot him and steal his wallet - but instead, he ends up losing his New York jadedness. Doubles as Muhumuza and Captain Bristol.
Hannah & others: (female identifying, Age 40-60, vocal range top E5 Black/African American) The mother of a firefighter in Manhattan, Hannah waits for news about her son and is comforted by Beulah. Doubles as Margie and Mickey.

ROUTE 66

All play multiple characters. All sing and move well.
