Equity actors for roles in SUEÑO. An adaptation of Don Pedro Calderón De La Barca's LIFE IS A DREAM.
The actor cast as SEGISMUNDO will also understudy a TBD role in THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA.
Casting Director: Katja Zarolinski, CSA
He/him. 20s–early 30s. Latin/o/x/e or Hispanic. A very physical character who, though learned and very intelligent, can behave like a wild animal. He has lived in isolation and has been tied in chains all his life. He was born a prince with a noble soul. He has a deep curiosity for life beyond his confinement and harbors wild instincts, desire, and anger. Because of his lack of exposure to socialization, he can be volatile at times. He is a fast learner and his spirit shines through his struggles.
This role has many long monologues that reflect how often Segismundo is his own company and wrestles with his thoughts. Excellent language skills required.
Location: Spring Green, WI
