SEEKING:

• JOE/JOSEPHINE - A quick-witted saxophone player who goes into hiding after witnessing a mob hit. Disguised as “Josephine”, he joins an all-female swing band. Tenor, strong dancer.
• JERRY/DAPHNE - A talented bass player who is also forced into hiding and disguises themself as “Daphne” in the all-female swing band. A vibrant dancer who has a journey of gender self-discovery. Tenor.
• SUGAR KANE - Black, lead singer of Sweet Sue’s traveling band. Ambitious, resilient, and optimistic, she dreams of becoming a movie star.
• OSGOOD FIELDING III - An eccentric millionaire who falls in love with Daphne at first sight. Open-minded and kind-hearted.
• SWEET SUE McGINTY - No-nonsense leader of the traveling band. She runs a tight ship but cares deeply for the women in her company.
• AGENT MULLIGAN - A Chicago detective chasing Spats Colombo across the country to arrest him for his crimes.
• SPATS COLOMBO - A Chicago mob boss chasing Joe and Jerry across the country after they witness his crimes.
• MINNIE - Sweet Sue’s assistant band leader.
• ENSEMBLE - Dancers playing a variety of roles including Society Syncopators, Gangsters, Porters, Bellhops, and more.
