Equity actors for roles in Mary Moody Northern Theatre's 2025-26 Season (see breakdown).
MMNT operates under an Equity/URTA agreement; guest artists are mentors for student actors. Due to the academic training program design, guest artist roles are those that students would not typically play. For more information on MMNT within the St. Edward's University Theater program, please visit
www.stedwards.edu/theatre.
Please prepare a 1-2 minute monologue. If auditioning for URINETOWN, in addition to your monologue, please prepare 32 bars of a song that shows range and personality and is within the style of the show. Bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided.

IN THE AMAZON WAREHOUSE PARKING LOT
EL - (flexible pronouns). We are seeking to cast a GNC/Trans actor aged 30s-60s preferably of Latinx background for this production. El is described as androgynous/butch/masc in presentation. El is a caring, quick-witted, and headstrong leader in this chosen family of Amazon warehouse workers. They have a tough exterior but a soft almost-romantic interior life and many of the ensemble look up to El.
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
LEONATO - (he/him) The elderly, well-respected governor of Messina. Gracious host, father to Hero, and uncle to Beatrice.
URINETOWN: The Musical
OFFICER LOCKSTOCK - a policeman
CLADWELL B. CLADWELL - president and owner of Urine Good Co.
LITTLE WOMEN
TRACK 1 (Marmee March, Aunt March) - MARMEE, the matriarch of the family. Social revolutionary, ahead of her time. Good sense of humor. Warrior; keeps the family together. Tough. Strong. Intelligent.
AUNT MARCH (70+) Most unpleasant old woman ever imaginable. Has lots of money; privileged. Strong political and personal opinions, which people endure. Judgmental. Has an intermittent, hacking, disgusting cough.
TRACK 9 (Mr. Laurence, Robert March) - MR. LAURENCE, Laurie's grandfather, responsible for Laurie's upbringing. A wealthy man. Gentleman in the strictest sense. Not comfortable with emotional language; bad at expressing himself. Rigid sense of what is appropriate behavior, especially for a man. Tends towards gruffness or temper. Probably quite unintentionally frightening. Deeply regretful of incidents in his past, but unable to express it.
ROBERT MARCH, Father to the March girls. Never speaks, but his presence looms large. Wounded in the war, never quite recovers. A significant limp. Struggles with his injuries, both emotional and physical.
