Equity actors for roles in MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET CHRISTMAS (see breakdown). Our goal is to create a warm and welcoming casting process. The team strives to lead with respect, kindness, and generosity. In regard to the character descriptions – they outline the characters as described in the script and in consultation with the creative team. They do not aim to be all-encompassing representations of who might fill these roles. We aim for an expansive and deliberate casting process. We acknowledge that the characters in the script are traditionally presented as either male or female (using he/him or she/her pronouns). We warmly welcome submissions from individuals who identify as gender non-conforming, genderqueer, transgender, or non-binary for the roles that resonate most with their identity.

For the roles of JERRY LEE LEWIS, CARL PERKINS, JOHNNY CASH; actors will need to self-accompany themselves with the music material. It is OPTIONAL for the role of DYANNE. For the roles of FLUKE and BROTHER JAY, there is no pre-assigned audition material. If interested in those roles, submit a Drummer Reel (FLUKE) or an Upright Bass Reel (BROTHER JAY).

- JERRY LEE LEWIS (Lower Voice, 20s): rock ‘n’ roll’s legendary piano prodigy and celebrated Last Man Standing.
- CARL PERKINS (Lower Voice, 20s): lead guitar player, singer, the originator of one of the first rock ‘n’ roll hits, “Blue Suede Shoes.”
- JOHNNY CASH (Lower Voice, 20s): singer, guitar player, a giant of American music at the dawn of his epic career.
- DYANNE (Higher Voice, 20s): an aspiring singer, Elvis’ girlfriend.
- ELVIS PRESLEY (Lower Voice, 20s): guitar player, the first and still undisputed king of rock ‘n’ roll.
- BROTHER JAY (Lower Voice, 20s): bass player, brother of Carl Perkins.
- FLUKE (Lower Voice, 20s): drummer.
- SAM PHILLIPS (Lower Voice, 30s): the Father of Rock ‘n’ Roll and founder of Sun Records; discovered JLL, Elvis, Cash, Perkins, and many others, including Roy Orbison and B.B. King. A towering and charismatic figure in American music.
