April 17 — First rehearsal in Chicago. April 30 — Travel day to Sarasota. Chicago-area actors are encouraged to submit.
SISTER ROSETTA THARPE: An African-American woman in her early thirties. Pretty, vivacious, an irrepressible spirit. A mean guitar player with a bluesy voice. Sings spirituals that swing.
