TheatreworksUSA NYC TYA Tour Tier 2; $460/week + $53 per diem

Rehearses in NYC: 12/27/10-1/8/11. Performs: 1/9/11-6/12/11. All performances subject to change.

All actors must be available to audition, rehearse, and travel from NYC.

NYC auditions will be held on an upcoming date TBD.

PLEASE NOTE: All who are cast will be signed as Assistant Stage Managers and will be required, as such, to lift scenery and sound equipment during daily load-in and load outs (up to 60 lbs).

This is a musical. All characters sing and must be able to carry tight harmonies.

Seeking:

Harriet:


Black female, 20s-early 30s. Young leading lady, high energy, a leader, a fighter, charismatic.

Rit:

Black female, 20s-30s. Character woman. Plays Harriet’s Mother, sister and other characters.

Ben:

Black male, 20s-30s. Character man. Harriet's father. Also plays William Henry. Baritone, bass-baritone.

David:

Black male, 20s. Energetic, rebellious juvenile, Harriet's brother. Baritone.

Overseer:

White male, 20s-30s. Slave boss, “the heavy” character man, tough, mean, bigoted. Baritone/Bass.

Jacob:

White male, 20s-30s. Strong leader of men. He's a Quaker, a friend of the slaves. Baritone.
