Please prepare one monologue or two brief contrasting monologues to total approximately three minutes. There are no musicals in the season; no singing please. Each actor must bring one 8x 10 head shot with a resume attached to the back of the photo.

SYNOPSIS: POTUS or Behind Every Great Dumbass are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive is a riotous comedy about the seven brazen women in charge of the man in charge of the free world, who must save the President and the world from falling apart (again).
Chris (Female presenting – Black – mid 20’s–mid 40’s): A journalist who somehow finds herself in the middle of a PR mess. Ambitious and driven, she could break this story if she can balance her work at the White House while pumping breast milk during her breaks.
Margaret (Female presenting – Black – 40’s – 60’s): The President’s somewhat estranged wife, aka The First Lady. An elegant and regal woman, she is at the edge of her patience with the President’s blunders and bad behavior.
The following roles are CAST with Resident Acting Company. Performers will be considered as possible replacements should any become necessary:
Harriet (Female presenting– 45-65) CAST: The President’s chief of staff. The woman closest to the President who knows all his secrets. Always has ten plates spinning at once while dodging arrows from all directions. She is intelligent, strong-willed, and always in control.
Jean (Female presenting– 35-55) CAST: The President’s press secretary. No one spins a PR disaster better. A calm and collected person (at least on the outside) she is often in cahoots with Harriet. She also has an on-and-off relationship with Bernadette.
Stephanie (Female presenting– 35-45) CAST: The President’s devoted secretary. Often in a frazzled state keeping up with the President but can and will have sudden bursts of authority and command of the other women.
Dusty (Female presenting– 25-35) CAST: The President’s dalliance. A deceptively simple, young woman from a small town who would don a bikini at any event. She reveals herself as one of the most intelligent yet audacious women in the group.
Bernadette (Female presenting– 45-55) CAST: The President’s “criminal” sister. A shameless lesbian with a flexible moral compass who is unafraid to aggravate her brother and sister-in-law, aka FLOTUS. Jean’s sweetheart.

SYNOPSIS: The third installment of the QUEENS GIRL plays, it is the final chapter of Jacqueline Marie Butler's experience growing up as a fish out of water in a variety of unexpected environments. After starting middle school in Manhattan and moving to Nigeria during her early teenage years, Jackie travels to attend college in the Green Mountain region of Vermont – experiencing yet another new setting.
Performer (Female presenting – Black - 25-50): Plays Jacqueline Marie Butler and all of the other roles in the script including her classmates, professors, et al.

SYNOPSIS: Ten strangers are summoned to a remote island. All that the guests have in common is a wicked past they're unwilling to reveal and a secret that will seal their fate, for each has been marked for murder. As the weather turns and the group is cut off from the mainland the bloodbath begins, and one by one they are brutally murdered in accordance with the lines of a sinister nursery rhyme.
General McKenzie (Male presenting – 55-70): A general in WWI he is the oldest guest on the island. Still proud but losing his grip on reality. Upright soldierly man, very gentle and kind. He sent a soldier on a very dangerous mission who subsequently was killed because he found out he was having an affair with his wife.
Sir Lawrence Wargrave (Male presenting – 50-65): A recently retired judge, Wargrave is a highly intelligent old man with a commanding personality. As the characters start to realize they are being hunted, Wargrave’s experience and air of authority make him a natural leader for the group. Wargrave’s guilt is revealed at the end.
Fred Narracott / Anthony Marsden (Male presenting – 25-35): Narracott is a boatman who brings supplies and guests to Soldier Island. Marsden is a rich, athletic, and handsome youth. He likes to drive recklessly and seems to lack a conscience. He shows no remorse for his actions.
The following roles ARE CAST with Resident Acting Company. Performers will be considered as possible replacements should any become necessary:
Mrs. Rogers (Female presenting – 60s) CAST: A worried, frightened-looking woman, she is very respectable looking with her hair dragged back from her face. Frightened of her own shadow, she is also a bit of a gossip.
Emily Brent (Female presenting – 55-65) CAST: An old, ruthlessly religious woman who reads her Bible every day. Bullied a young woman until the woman took her own life. Unlike the other characters, she feels convinced of her own righteousness and does not express the slightest remorse for her actions.
Dr. Armstrong (Female presenting – 35-50) CAST: A gullible, slightly timid doctor, she often draws the suspicion of the other guests because of her medical knowledge. She is a recovering alcoholic who once accidentally killed a patient by operating on her while drunk. Her weak personality makes her the perfect tool for the murderer.
Vera Claythorne (Female presenting – 2’s) CAST: A former governess, she wants to escape a past in which she killed a small boy in her care, Cyril Hamilton, so that the man she loved would inherit Cyril ’s estate. The most intelligent and capable character, she also suffers from attacks of hysteria, and feels guilty about her crime.
Rogers (Male presenting – 45-65) CAST: A competent, middle-aged manservant, not a butler but a house parlor man. He is quick and deft and just a trifle specious and shifty. He and his wife are hired to handle housekeeping and cooking for the guests on the island. To the guests, he appears dignified and dutiful, but when their backs are turned he is shady and disrespectful.
William Blore (Male presenting – 40s) CAST: A former police inspector, he is a well-built man whose experience often inspires others to look to him for advice. As a policeman, he was corrupt and once framed a man. He acts boldly and frequently takes initiative, but he also makes frequent mistakes. He constantly suspects the wrong person, and his boldness often verges on foolhardiness.
Phillip Lombard (Male presenting – 35-45) CAST: A mysterious, confident, and resourceful man who seems to have been a mercenary soldier in Africa. He is far bolder and more cunning than most of the other characters, traits that allow him to survive almost until the end of the play. His weakness is his chivalrous attitude toward women, particularly Vera.

SYNOPSIS: A touching and inventive play about new beginnings, Primary Trust explores the inner and outer lives of Kenneth, a heartbreakingly lonely man living in the small town of Cranberry, New York.
Corrina / Wally’s Waiter / Bank Customers (Female presenting – Black – 30’s-40’s): Plays several different characters who encounter Kenneth in his journey to recovery, including a platonic friend and impatient customers who misread and misinterpret Kenneth’s behaviors.
Kenneth (Male presenting – Black – Late 30s): A shy and gentle person, he is a deeply traumatized man who is forced to rejoin society after he is fired from his bookstore job. With his best friend Bert’s help, he slowly gains the courage to move past his grief and find joy in new beginnings. Has an affinity for Mai-Tais.
Bert (Male presenting – Black – Late 30s): Kenneth’s current best friend, and later revealed to be his childhood social worker who cared for him after his mother's death. An affable, loving, and caring person who never rushes Kenneth’s recovery but knows exactly when to nudge him forward. Spends many days and nights with Kenneth drinking Mai-Tais. The following roles are CAST with Resident Acting Company. Performers will be considered as possible replacements should any become necessary:
Clay / Sam / Le Pousselet Bartender (Male presenting – Black – 45-60) CAST: Plays several different characters, including Kenneth’s salt of the earth therapist, a new bank boss, and a ready-to serve bartender.

SYNOPSIS: George and Martha return to their New England home drunk at 2AM to await another couple coming over for more drinks. What begins as a game of mental chess between the hosts turns into marital warfare that reveals the reality lurking beneath the surface of their shattering marriage.

Martha (Female presenting – 50s) CAST: Married to George and the daughter of the college’s president. Aspired to marry a professor who would ascend to replace her father when he retired. Childless and full of rage and disappointment, she now spends her time lashing out against George verbally and engaging in extramarital affairs with other professors.
Honey (Female presenting – 25-35) CAST: Like Martha, Honey’s stated aspirations are to be a wife and mother and rise in status on campus. Somewhat bland, she is naïve and/or oblivious to the political and sexual machinations of the world, including her husband’s infidelity and lack of love for her.
George (Male presenting– 45-55) CAST: A history professor stuck at a low-level but tenured position at New Carthage University even after working there for many years. He has a sordid and violent personal history, which he tried to capture in a novel that was never published. He never lives up to his potential. He is married to Martha, in a once-loving relationship now defined by sarcasm and frequent acrimony.
Nick (Male presenting– 25-35) CAST: A good, clean-cut, All-American boy, and rising professor in the Biology Department, Nick is married to Honey, whom it seems he married both for her money and out of obligation. The kind of man that looks great on paper, but full of amoral and reprehensible ambitions.

SYNOPSIS: This definitive spoof of Gothic melodramas is a quick-change marathon in which two actors play all the roles, including a sympathetic werewolf, a vampire, and an Egyptian princess brought to life when her tomb is opened.
