OTHER DATES
- Callbacks: 5:00 PM–7:00 PM, same day by invitation. If invited to callbacks, bring tap shoes.
- Equity chorus dancers for DISNEY'S NEWSIES (see breakdown).
- Newsies Ensemble Only Rehearsal: August 28–30, 2026 (Friday–Sunday).
- Full Cast Rehearsals: August 31–September 7, 2026 (Monday–Friday).
- Performance Dates: Tuesday, September 8 – Sunday, September 13, 2026 (six performances).
- All Equity stage managerial positions have been filled.
PREPARATION
Please come prepared to dance and bring jazz shoes, character shoes, and sneakers. Bring 16 bars of a Broadway song (songs from Newsies welcome) if requested to stay and sing. Bring sheet music in your key; the accompanist will not transpose. Also bring your headshot and resume.
An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

BREAKDOWN
DISNEY'S NEWSIES
SEEKING
NEWSIES ENSEMBLE ROLES: Strong dancers of all vocal ranges. Featured solos and lines will be cast from the adult ensemble. Includes:
- Race – quick-witted and streetwise
- Albert, Specs, Henry, Romeo, Elmer, Finch, Jo Jo, Mush, etc. – featured newsies personalities
- Spot Conlon – formidable Brooklyn newsie leader
- Oscar & Morris Delancey – tough enforcers who antagonize the newsies. Doubles as newsies.
ADULT ENSEMBLE / FEATURED ROLES
Approximately seven adult ensemble members will cover the following roles:
- Wiesel – gruff, comedic distribution boss
- Snyder – harsh warden of The Refuge
- Nuns, Bowery Bruisers, Policemen, Stagehands
- Seitz, Bunsen, Hannah, Nunzio – Pulitzer’s staff
- Mayor, Governor Roosevelt
