BREAKDOWN
THE OUTSIDER
1st Reh 8/16/22
Opening 9/8/22
Closing 9/25/22
(this production was planned for fall 2020 and was cancelled due to COVID-19)
An outrageous and timely farce that skewers politicians, sound bites, and political shenanigans.
Louise Peakes female 20’s—40’s A temporary employee hired as the Governor’s executive assistant. Personable, likable, impressively confident, and entirely inept. Without knowing it, she has the air of a politician about her. The friendliness of her smile, and the confident way she looks you in the eye, would make you think, “I’d vote for her.”
A.C. Petersen male 30’s-50’s A TV camera man. A working man, and for most people -the guy you didn’t notice was there. Which is fine with A.C.; he has a low tolerance for idiocy, and would rather not interact with anyone. His near-silence doesn’t make him seem unfriendly, just a bit of a mystery.
Page Caldwell female 20’s—30’s CAST
Dave Riley male 30’s — 40’s CAST
Ned Newley male 50’s CAST
Arthur Vance male 50’s CAST
Rachel Parsons female 30’s-40’s CAST

From the pen of Agatha Christie comes a high-spirited tale of adventure, romance, and (of course) mystery.
Anne Beddingfeld, (our heroine) — female 20’s impulsive, charming, adventurous, romanic.
Sir Eustace Pedler, M.P. and Others — male 50’s-60’s charming, funny fuss-budget
Guy Pagett, secretary to Sir Eustace and Others — male 30’s-40’s mysterious, hiding something.
Harry Rayburn (our hero) and Others — male 20’s dashing, chip on his shoulder
Suzanne Blair and Others — female 30’s-50’s Very wealthy, woman of the world
Colonel Race and Others — male 30’s-40’s mysterious, man of action, a spy?
