Tony Winner Lillias White to Star in GROWN & SEXY Part 1 at Stage 72 Next Month

On Monday, November 10th at 9:30pm, Tony Winner, Lillias White returns to The Triad at Stage 72 in GROWN & SEXY part 1. This intimate, unplugged "Just A Piano" Concert will feature MICHAEL O. MITCHELL (Motown the Musical) on piano and as Musical Director. White says, "This concert will have an adults-only, speak-easy, blues club-like vibe."

White's most recently appeared in Primary Stages' Off-Broadway production of While I Yet Live, by Tony Winner, Billy Porter. Lillias White's many BROADWAY credits include FELA!, for which she garnered a TONY NOMINATION, CATS, HOW TO SUCCEED... CHICAGO, DREAMGIRLS, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, BARNUM, and THE LIFE earning her the prestigious QUADRUPLE CROWN - THE FRIENDS OF NEW YORK THEATRE, DRAMA DESK, OUTER CRITICS CIRCLE, AND TONY AWARDS for her portrayal of "Sonja," the hooker with the heart of gold!

White has been seen on the big screen with Katie Holmes in PIECES OF APRIL, with Michael Keaton in GAME SIX, and her distinctive vocals are familiar to children of all ages from the DISNEY animated feature HERCULES. On TV, you've certainly seen her on LAW & ORDER, or maybe on the PBS-TV presentation of SOUTH PACIFIC as Bloody Mary as well as on SESAME STREET (EMMY AWARD).
