THE BINDS WE MANEUVER Lifts The Voices Of Women-Identifying Artists

"The Binds We Maneuver" is a workshop presentation featuring performance art, film, stand up comedy, play and musical excerpts. Each piece highlights the "binds" women-identifying humans get in and out of while understanding that those who are trans women and women of color are even further marginalized beyond cis-gender identity.

Featuring the work of Sammie James, Maggie Larkin, Pamela Grayson, Morgan Dean, Jessie Standafer, Gabrielle Lenhard, Nina Kauffman, and Janelle Lawrence.

Each artist will showcase their work and explain the meaning and process behind what they create and their goals for the future. The audience is encouraged to ask questions and participate in discussions about their art, the industry, and the binds we encounter and break as women-identifying artists.

The event is produced by Nina Kauffman and Janelle Lawrence of Lemon & Ginger, a podcast, and will be streamed live on Facebook.

3-6PM EST in the Playwright Studios Black Box Theater, 440 Lafayette, 4th Floor
