Sir Ari Gold Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall with SOUNDTRACK TO FREEDOM Concert

Recording artist Sir Ari Gold, who also performs under the name GoldNation, will celebrate his birthday on Sunday, February 10th with two different sets at The Cutting Room. The event will also honor the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall and the role of dance music as the defining soundtrack to LGBTQ liberation and equality with music from his album "Soundtrack to Freedom" and the upcoming "Remix to Freedom." The evening will contain an acoustic set at 7:30 and an electronic dance set at 9:30.

Special guests for the event include Mila Jam, Peppermint, star of Head Over Heels and RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9, and #1 Billboard Artist Kevin Aviance. The evening will feature costumes by Delicia Glam and a multi-media retrospective exhibition with works by acclaimed artists Robert Richards, Tommy Mazza, and Mark Beard. Sir Ari Gold is a native New Yorker, a Billboard Top 10 Recording Artist, and recipient of a "Visionary Award" by the LGBT Academy of Recording Arts. Ari has acted in plays by Tony nominated Colman Domingo and in RuPaul's cult film Starrbooty. As a child vocalist he has sung on over 400 TV and radio jingles, voiced characters for Jem and the Holograms, Cabbage Patch Kids and sang on Diana Ross record Swept Away. Sir Ari has headlined concerts in Europe, Canada, and in over 40 states including his hometown NYC at Lincoln Center, Joe's Pub and Summerstage. With support from Dixon Place and New York Theater Workshop Ari is developing his autobiographical musical POP OUT: The Musical Memoir of America's First Gay Pop Star.
