Sarah Litzsinger and Kate Reinders Bring TASTiSKANK to Ars Nova Tonight

Ars Nova presents TASTiSKANK tonight, November 16, at 8pm.

Straight Outta Skank-Town, the artists jointly known as TASTiSKANK-- Broadway's Sarah Litzsinger (Beauty and the Beast, Amour) and Kate Reinders (Something Rotten, Gypsy) are taking it back to where it all began, Ars Nova! Winners of the Breakout Award for Best Live Performance at the 2007 HBO Aspen Comedy Festival, they were also named two of the NY Post's 25 Sexiest New Yorkers and are YouTube stars with "The Sex Song" (over 1.2 million views). They have headlined at 54 Below, Joe's Pub, New York's UCB and performed at the TBS Comedy Festival in Las Vegas.

These two TASTi gals met in the summer of 2004 doing NERDS at New York Stage & Film at Vassar College. Day One, Sarah & Kate became fast friends (incidentally and accidentally wearing matching outfits. That's just kismet, people.) Not long after, they began their songwriting collaboration. TASTiSKANK debuted their act at Ars Nova in August of '06 and were named two of the 25 Sexiest New Yorkers by the New York Post. Then these broads went to the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival in 2007, and, not knowing there were even awards to achieve, they won the BREAKOUT AWARD for Best Live Performance (titty high-five!). Soon after, they signed a development deal with Sony, but then the writers' strike struck (boo.). TASTiSKANK has performed their act in NY (Ars, Nova, Joe's Pub, UCB), Las Vegas (TBS Comedy Festival at Caesars Palace), LA (Upright Cabaret), and London (...some random bar...). Sarah & Kate also appeared together in a pilot called Teachers (Winner-Best Pilot, People's Choice Award at NYTVF). Broadway Credits include: Sarah Litzsinger ~ MARILYN, AN AMERICAN FABLE, OLIVER! (W/Patti Lupone) LES MISERABLES, AMOUR, BEAUTY & THE BEAST. Kate Reinders - SOMETHING ROTTEN, TOM SAWYER, INTO THE WOODS, GYPSY (W/Bernadette Peters), GOOD VIBRATIONS, WICKED. They've also done TV and movies and shit, but so what who cares - being TASTiSKANK is their favorite.
