"TO LIFE" was the theme of the event at Feinstein's/54 Below for the benefit of the LiveOnNY Foundation and it was wonderful to see Doctors, Surgeons, Hospital Administrators, officials of LiveOnNY and generous concerned New Yorkers take time off from their important work to enjoy an evening of Broadway & Comedy.
Hosted by Julie Halston there were performances by, Special Guest Star Michael Feinstein, Marilyn Maye, Brad Oscar, Alex Getlin, Carole J. Bufford, Scott Coulter and the Broadway Rising Stars Chorus.
LiveOnNY Foundation is the philanthropic arm of LiveOnNY - one of 58 federally designated organ procurement organizations in the nation responsible for the recovery of organs and tissues for transplantation. Since it's inception in 1978, LiveOnNY has helped save more than 20,000 lives through organ donation and improved the quality of life for hundreds of thousands more New Yorkers through eye and tissue donation.
LiveONNY Foundation was created in 2016, with funding from "Donate Eight," an extraordinary group of New Yorkers in the real estate and buildings services industry who committed themselves to raising awareness about organ donation and increasing New York state's donor registry. Their generosity has enabled the Foundation to begin to realize its mission of awareness and education, research, and services for donor families and transplant patients.
Nearly 10,000 New Yorkers are waiting for a transplant.
The sold out evening raised Nearly $100,000 for LiveOnNY Foundation

Back in 60s, Jackie Gleason filled a railroad car with pals for a trip from NYC to Miami for his TV show. In the 1920’s Henry Flagler organized a similar journey with a “party train” of friends..destination Palm Beach.
