Oscar Andy Hammerstein III to Host Two Brooklyn Events in Tribute to Rodgers & Hammerstein This Fall

Oscar "Andy" Hammerstein III, Grandson of the late Oscar Hammerstein II, will host two special events for the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. The presentations will be held at the Brooklyn Public Library at Kensington - Saturday, August 16 at 2 p.m. and the Brooklyn Public Library at Kings Highway - Saturday, September 13 at 1:30 p.m.

The performances will feature soprano Teri Dale Hansen (pictured left - SHOW BOAT, THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE) and will include not only the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein, but also stories about their musical theatre collaborations: CAROUSEL, THE KING AND I, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, SOUTH PACIFIC and OKLAHOMA!

Mr. Hammerstein's book, The Hammersteins a Musical Theatre Family, along with Miss Hansen's CD Into You Arms...the Love Songs of Richard Rodgers, will also be available for purchase.
