The Broadway at Birdland concert series is proud to announce that singer Natalie Douglas will return to Birdland for a new monthly series, "Hello Dolly...The Music of Dolly Parton," on Mondays, April 20, May 18, July 6 and August 10 at 7pm. The concert is a celebration of the beloved singer, actor, and songwriter.

Natalie Douglas, celebrated vocalist and host of the Sunday night Birdland Jazz Party, returns to the historic room after a triumphant week-long run in London. Douglas brings back this popular program, in which she pays tribute to the beloved singer, actor, songwriter and Broadway composer, Dolly Parton. Featured music includes original Parton compositions like "Jolene," "Coat of Many Colors" and "I Just Might" from the Broadway musical 9 to 5, in addition to tunes Dolly creatively covered like Neil Young's "After the Gold Rush" and Bob Dylan's "Don't Think Twice." Natalie will be joined by her longtime musical director Mark Hartman (Broadway's Avenue Q, Sondheim on Sondheim) on piano, accordion and mandolin, and her talented band of Broadway all-stars.

Natalie Douglas the seven-time MAC Award Winner, Backstage Bistro and Nightlife Award Winner has garnered rave reviews for her unique blend of jazz, blues, standards, pop, folk and country music. Recent tributes include being awarded The 2014 Margaret Whiting Award at Carnegie Hall from the Mabel Mercer Foundation & My Ideal Music. In September 2014, Natalie's portrait was added to the legendary Birdland Jazz Club Wall of Fame. Her recent performances include concerts across the U.S. (Carnegie Hall, Birdland, Cafe Carlyle, and Jazz at Lincoln Center's Appel Room) and on three continents (NYC, Montenegro, Greece, Corsica, Puerto Vallarta, London, Buenos Aires, Cancun & Germany). In November, Natalie enjoyed her third weeklong run in less than two years at her London concert home, The Crazy Coqs, with her brand new critically acclaimed show, "Hello Dolly: The Music of Dolly Parton." Natalie's CDs, Live At Birdland and Not That Different, are available on iTunes, Amazon.com, Spotify & GooglePlay and continue to be featured on NPR, Sirius XM Radio & BBC London Radio. As an actor, she has appeared in 18 editions of The A-train plays at the Neighborhood Playhouse, The Peter Sharp Theatre and New World Stages and in The People vs. Mona, by the writers of Pumpboys & Dinettes. Natalie made her feature debut in the horror film, The Camera's Eye, appeared in the ABC series "Cupid" a national commercial for Disney's Broadway show, Mary Poppins, and can also be seen with her husband on The Discovery Channel's "Cash Cab." Natalie is about to complete a successful four-month residency at her New York concert home - The Birdland Jazz Party with Natalie Douglas, which takes place every Sunday at 6pm.

Named for alto saxophonist and jazz pioneer Charlie "Bird" Parker who dubbed it "The Jazz Corner of the World," Birdland opened on December 15th 1949. For 60 years it has been home to jazz legends, from Parker, John Coltrane Duke Ellington and Count Basie to Oscar Peterson, Hank Jones, Diana Krall and everyone in between. The modern incarnation is a state of the art nightclub featuring award winning Southern and Cajun cuisine, first rate sound and lighting and a who's who of contemporary musical artists, 7 nights a week.
