MOTOWN's N'Kenge and BOOK OF MORMON's Dimitri Moise Slated for DISCOTHEQUE at Le Poisson Rouge, 5/25
Looking to get your boogie-oogie-oogie on this Memorial Day weekend? Look no further than "Oh! You Pretty Things : Discotheque" presented by Michael T, Twig the Wonderkid, Mike Greco, and MaryAnne Piccolo at Le Poisson Rouge on May 25.
"Oh! You Pretty Things" in association with "Damn the Light Promotions" are pleased to present a classic seventies-era disco extravaganza courtesy of The Disco Infernos as well as classic-seventies-era sets spun by DJs Twig the Wonderkid, Damian Cote, and Rich King.
Live performances by Breedlove and Chew Fu, Brittnay Campbell, Briana Layon and the Boys, J and the 9s. The night will also feature burlesque performances by The Love Show. The incomparable Peppermint will serve as emcee extraordinaire for the evening.
The Disco Infernos rock-disco-tribute will include guest performances by N'Kenge (Motown The Musical), Dimitri Moise (The Book of Mormon), Andromeda Turre (Sleep No More), Frank Bell, Brian Dudolevitch, Stephane Duret, Felix Hess, Strange Majik, Danny Musengo, MaryAnne Piccolo, Lexi Rhoades, Michael T, Danielle Tyler and Peppermint. The Disco Infernos are under the musical direction of Mike Greco (keys). The full band line up includes Jimmy Caputo (bass), Mitch Wilson (drums), Steve Dawson (guitar), Wade Ridenhour (keys II), Spencer Katzman (saxophone/ guitar) and Emma Craig (backing vocals).
The evening will be hosted by Darian Darling, King Vulcanus, Leo Gugu, Miss Tiffany Leigh, Hunteur Vreeland, and Marz Attack.
