'Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens & Big Bopper: Winter Dance Party' Comes to Downtown Cabaret Theatre, Now thru 3/16
Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens & Big Bopper: Winter Dance Party takes the stage of Bridgeport's Downtown Cabaret Theatre for four performances ONLY today, March 14 through Sunday, March 16 (2014).
The Winter Dance Party is the official live and authentic re-creation ofBuddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper's final tour, and the only show endorsed by both the Holly and Valens estate. Each live concert performance includes over two hours of unbridled, high voltage entertainment featuring such hit songs of the 50′s era as: "That'll Be the Day,'" "Peggy Sue," "Oh, Boy," "Rave On," "La Bamba," "Chantilly Lace," and many, many more!
The stars of the Winter Dance Party include John Mueller, Linwood Sasserand Ray Anthony.
John Mueller, the critically acclaimed former star of the U.S. touring version of the London/Broadway hit musical Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, performs as Buddy Holly.
Linwood Sasser admits he has always been a little bit big and boppin' - seems to be what he does the best. He has performed as the Big Bopper with John Mueller's Winter Dance Party since 2008.
Ray Anthony performs as Ritchie Valens and is a renowned star of the "Legends of Rock & Roll" show at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
The totally authentic and energetic four piece band (guitar, drums, stand-up bass and sax) includes Grammy award winning saxophonist, Mike Acosta.
