San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus (SFGMC) Artistic Director, Dr. Timothy Seelig, announced that for the first time in nearly 20 years, the Chorus will return to the War Memorial Opera House (301 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco) on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 8 p.m. with the holiday performance, Shine! Our Brightest Holiday Show Ever! The 300 men of the chorus will be joined by San Francisco Opera soprano Marina Harris, showcasing season favorites and outrageous surprises that are sure to leave audiences shining with the holiday spirit. In homage to the venue that hosts so many performances from other iconic institutions, SFGMC will sing symphonic excerpts and samples of opera, as well as selections from the Nutcracker. As SFGMC begins their next 35 years, the first performance of the 2013/14 season, Shine, will dazzle with the accompaniment of two grand pianos and an array of the brightest holiday classics.

In addition to the annual holiday concert, SFGMC will also continue the tradition of presenting Christmas Eve performances in the 24th Annual Home for the Holidays at the Castro Theatre (429 Castro Street, San Francisco) on Tuesday, December 24 at 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. The three performances will feature Marina Harris along with our special guest - recording artist, Matt Alber.
