Metropolitan Opera Cast Change Advisory: Parsifal

Yannick Nézet-Séguin to conduct all remaining performances of Parsifal

John Keenan, who had been scheduled to conduct one performance of Wagner's Parsifal at the Met this Friday, February 23, 2018 at 6.00pm, has been forced to withdraw due to illness. Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who is conducting all other performances of Parsifal in the season, will now take on this one as well.

The acclaimed revival of Wagner's final opera, directed by François Girard, features Evelyn Herlitzius, Klaus Florian Vogt, Peter Mattei, Evgeny Nikitin and René Pape.

In addition to February 23rd, there are two remaining performances of Parsifal on Tuesday February 20th and Tuesday February 27th, each at 6.00pm.

It was announced last week that Mr Nézet-Séguin will become Met Music Director in September 2018, two seasons earlier than originally planned.
