Metropolitan Opera Announces Cast Change Advisory For La Fanciulla del West

Elisabete Matos will sing the role of Minnie in La Fanciulla del West at this evening's performance, replacing Deborah Voigt who is ill.
Matos made her Met debut on December 22 as Minnie, a role the Portuguese soprano also sang as part of the Puccini centennial celebration at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Lucca in 2008.La Fanciulla del West, conducted by Nicola Luisotti, also features Marcello Giordani and Lucio Gallo in principal roles.
