Lakeshore Light Opera's summer sing-alongs are back - for the 24th. straight year, would you believe? For the few amongst you who have never attended one of these events; each Tuesday, we get together at the Church of Saint John the Baptist in Pointe Claire and, starting at 8 pm., we sing an entire Gilbert and Sullivan opera. We provide scores (although we encourage you to bring your own if you have one) and we all sing everything - no soloists or divas, just people that like to sing! What's more, it's free. Just turn up by yourself, with friends or colleagues - as you wish. All are most welcome.
This is our schedule for this summer:
July 9 - Princess Ida
July 16 - The Sorcerer
July 23 - The Mikado
July 30 - The Gondoliers
August 6 - The Pirates of Penzance
August 13 - The Yeomen of the Guard
"The Yeomen of the Guard" will be our 2014 production. If you are interested in singing with us this year, these sing-alongs will be a great way to get a heads-up on the music in time for auditions on September 6th. (for principals) and September 10th. (for chorus). All voice parts will welcome new members.
