Florentine Opera Company to Perform its Original Children's Opera A BUSY BEE

The Florentine Opera Company's original children's opera, A Busy Bee, is currently touring across Southeast Wisconsin. Since January, over 10,000 children, teachers and parents have already seen the production. The opera follows Bella the honeybee as she undergoes a series of adventures in hopes of finding her place in the hive. Written and composed by the Florentine Opera's staff pianist Ruben Piirainen, the production was commissioned in partnership with SHARP Literacy and is based on the SHARP Literacy children's book A Busy Bee: The Story of Bella the Honey Bee.
