Erin Morley will sing the role of Sophie in all performances of Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier this season, replacing Mojca Erdmann, who is still recovering from a recent case of pneumonia.

Morley, a graduate of the Met's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, has sung nine roles with the company, including Constance in last season's revival of Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites; Woglinde and the Forest Bird in Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen; Madame Podtochina's daughter in the Met premiere of Shostakovich's The Nose; Echo in Strauss's Ariadne auf Naxos; and the Dew Fairy in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel.

Der Rosenkavalier is conducted by Edward Gardner and also stars Martina Serafin as the Marschallin; Alice Coote, Daniela Sindram, and Géraldine Chauvet as Octavian; Eric Cutler and Mario Chang as the Italian Singer; Hans-Joachim Ketelsen as Faninal; and Peter Rose as Baron Ochs.

The revival opens Friday, November 22, with additional performances on November 25, 30 matinee, December 3, 7, 10, and 13.
