Marjukka Tepponen will sing Tatiana in tonight's performance of Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, replacing Ailyn Pérez.

Finnish soprano Marjukka Tepponen, who has sung Tatiana in Seattle and Lisbon, makes her Met debut this evening. Ms. Tepponen's recent performances include Nedda in Leoncavallo's Pagliacci at Finnish National Opera, Cio-Cio-San in Puccini's Madama Butterfly at Oper Graz, and Liù in Puccini's Turandot at Bregenzer Festpiele. Future engagements include the Countess in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro at Seattle Opera, Cio-Cio-San in Puccini's Madama Butterfly at Oper Frankfurt, and Micaëla in Bizet's Carmen at Savonlinna Opera Festival.

Deborah Warner's production of Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin also stars Igor Golovatenko in the title role, Piotr Beczała as Lenski, Varduhi Abrahamyan as Olga, and Ain Anger as Prince Gremin. James Gaffigan conducts.

Remaining performances are April 10 and 14.
