BWW Blog: Jakob Creighton - Detail Work and Vocal Run-Through

Monday October 3rd marked the beginning of Month 2 of rehearsals! At this rehearsal, we really ran through the material! It went fairly well!

I picked some pieces that I very much like for this "sneak peek" video! In particular, "Thy Hand Belinda" that is at the end of the video. I only included the recitative because I will be doing another blog completely devoted to that recitative as well as the aria that follows and I'm hoping to record the entire piece. The aria (and the recit too!) was very "avant-gardiste". Purcell was very much ahead of his time in the writing of this piece!

The next blog will be about my aria ("Jove's Command") and Dido's Lament (the entirety of "Thy Hand Belinda" and "When I am Laid in Earth"). There will, hopefully, be a video showing both pieces.
