Award-winning actor John Lithgow hosts the Los Angeles Philharmonic's LA Phil LIVE concert to be simulcast live in theaters throughout the U.S. and Canada, Sunday, June 5, at 2 p.m. Pacific/5 p.m. Eastern. The performance, led by the orchestra's dynamic Music Director Gustavo Dudamel, also features the rising young superstar siblings Renaud and Gautier Capuçon playing violin and cello, in Brahms' Concerto For Violin, Cello and Orchestra. The program also includes Brahms' dramatic and powerful Symphony No. 4. The concert is the conclusion of the LA Phil's Brahms Unbound cycle, which features the complete Brahms symphonies, often juxtaposed with contemporary works.
The performance is the final LA Phil LIVE concert for the 2010/2011 season.The in-theater broadcasts are produced as a result of collaboration between the LA Phil and NCM Fathom, a division of National CineMedia (NCM), and Cineplex Entertainment.LA Phil LIVE with Gustavo Dudamel from Walt Disney Concert Hall is an immersive sight and sound experience, featuring full concert performances with the LA Phil and Dudamel, broadcast live from the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall.
