Winifred Haun & Dancers to Remount PROMISE in 2015

Winifred Haun & Dancers will re-stage their acclaimed full length ballet, "Promise," on March 20 & 21, 2015 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts. Choreographed in 2009 by Winifred Haun, "Promise" was inspired by the novel, "East of Eden," by John Steinbeck. The dance focuses on the women, images and psychological themes found in East of Eden, and is performed partly on aerial straps. Promise features the music of George Crumb, Jolie Holland, and Maki Ishii. Details about casting, live music accompaniment and other events related to this production of "Promise" will be released in early January 2015.

"Promise" can be seen on Friday, March 20 at 7:30pm and Saturday, March 21 at 7:30pm at the
Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn in Chicago's gold coast neighborhood. Tickets are $30/general admission, $25/students and seniors. The Ruth Page Theatre is near the Clark & Division stop on the CTA Red Line and also the #36, #22, #70 and #156 bus lines.
