The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) Peck School of the Arts caps its 2012 Summer Dance season with 11 works from 12 choreographers.

Dancemakers 2012 will include Dance graduate student work ranging from a powerful, rhythmic quintet by Carrie Homuth to Collette Stewart's tranquil reflections about "Thirst." April Sellers and Mary Ann Wall question the relevance of feminism in a post-feminist era in "Jousting" while Keisha McKey's "What I see" explores self-esteem. In Julie Tice Bubolz's "Dust," Jose Luis dances a lyrical duet with sand while Kim Schroeder's performer dances precariously through pairs of shoes in "Which ones are mine?" Sarah Weber's trio "The Birds" frames sibling rivalry in between bites of pizza and slurps of Coke. Kathleen Hickey's "Close, Closer" explores the space between relationships and Kate Martel investigates structural integrity in "Relic." Finally, Elijah Gibson's interest in technique shines in "Let It Go" and Whitney Jacobs' props of all stripes tell a life story with "Stuff."

Dancemakers 2012 takes place Friday, July 27-Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 7:30pm at the Mainstage Theatre, UWM Campus, 2400 E. Kenwood Blvd, Milwaukee, WI.

Note: Dancemakers program will contain adult content and language.

Tickets: $12 - general; $10 - seniors, faculty, staff & alumni; $8 - students. Box Office: 414-229-4308 or arts.uwm.edu/tickets.
