Men can indeed dance en pointe! See for yourself as Les Ballets Trockadero bring their playful take on classical ballet to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall tongiht, February 4, 2015 at 8 pm.

Beneath the tutus, long lashes, big shoes, wigs, and tights, sheer talent and excellence reside. Founded in 1974 by a group of ballet enthusiasts, the "Trocks" came to life presenting a entertaining view on classical ballet form. Over the years the company has grown with national and international recognition, performing in over thirty countries and over five hundred cities worldwide since their founding. Delighting audiences from the novice to the expert through their comedic take on classics such as Swan Lake, Don Quixote, and The Dying Swan. Much of the comedy is achieved through the irony that male bodies are able to carry out such graceful and technical en pointe movements.

The Trocks have performed for many prestigious events including the Royal Variety Show for the Prince of Wales. Over time they have established themselves as a major dance phenomenon throughout the world, enabling them to carry out their original purpose; bringing the pleasure of dance to the widest possible audience.
