FSPA Hosts Modern Dance Master Class with Julianne O'Brien Pedersen, 10/12

Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) will present a modern dance master class with Julianne O'Brien Pedersen, Dean of the Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance and Professor of Dance at Dean College, on Friday, October 12. The master class will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at FSPA, located at 38 Main Street in Franklin. Intermediate and advanced dancers, ages 11 and older, are invited to participate.

A performer, choreographer, administrator and dance educator, Julianne O'Brien Pedersen was a founding company member and soloist with the renowned Peter Sparling Dance Company of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Her choreography has been presented across the country. O'Brien Pedersen's teaching interests focus on modern dance techniques, history and improvisation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from Connecticut College, a Master of Fine Arts in Choreography from The Ohio State University, and is a certified movement analyst through the Laban/Bartenieff school of New York City.
