Backstage with Relay Dance Collective Announced

Join Relay Dance Collective for the perfect night out: Backstage with RDC featuring Opera on Tap - Seattle. This cocktail-attire event celebrates the magic of live performance and kicks off Relay Dance Collective's annual performance at Velocity Dance Center this April, which will include choreography by Wade Madsen; Lauren Edson, formerly of Trey McIntyre Project, and Ella Mahler, a previous performer of Catherine Cabeen.

"RDC is a group of talented dancers eager to develop their artistry both in process and performance," said Mahler, who will lead a group improvisation with Relay's 23 dancers during Backstage. "RDC creates a welcoming environment for dancers of varying backgrounds to continue to hone their skills as artists while developing a sense of camaraderie."

Attendees will get to meet new and returning artists such as Mahler, RDC's newly-assembled Advisory Board, and members of the Seattle dance and arts community for wine, hors d'oeuvres, and live entertainment, including dance and music by Opera on Tap - Seattle.

"Momentum is really increasing in the dance world for the kind of collaboration we're seeing at Relay Dance. Seattle audiences are going to want to support this buoyant group," said Advisory Board member Lisa Harris of Seattle's Lisa Harris Gallery.
