SANTA CLARA, CA, February 17, 2016 - Santa Clara University announced today the full line-up of live theatre, music and dance events taking place in February and March 2016.

In addition to the previously-announced production of The Good Doctor by Neil Simon (performances begin on February 26 at the Louis B. Mayer Theatre), the line-up includes:

The University Orchestra's winter concert RARE AIR features the inspiring virtuosity of student winners of the Concerto and Aria Competition. The program features some of classical music's most beloved works in what is sure to be a memorable and rousing evening.

The Music Recital Hall will be filled with the exciting jazz sound of the Jazz Combos and Big Band under the direction of Dr. Doug Harris and Kristen Strom.

Music has long been a force for change in the world, a rallying cry for people, a voice to the voiceless, and an artistic expression of community and solidarity. The Santa Clara University Concert Choir and Chamber Singers present music from across many traditions and many time periods that has spoken for the people - from Folk Songs to Spirituals, traditional music to contemporary.

Dr. Doug Harris and the SCU Wind Symphony present an evening on classic repertoire for band.

The first half of the evening is comprised of chamber music played by the SCU Brass Choir, Woodwind Choir, Percussion Ensemble, Brass Quintet and Horn Quartet.
The second half will feature the entire WInd Symphony playing:

SCU•PRESENTS fosters opportunities on the Santa Clara University campus to teach students, engage audiences, and promote understanding through the performing arts. Created to facilitate artistic exchange between artists in the fields of dance, music, and theatre, SCU•Presents encompasses programming from the Department of Theatre and Dance, the Department of Music, and the newly formed Arts for Social Justice, as well as select Visiting Artist Series programming. In addition to presenting the works of these university programs, SCU•Presents serves an important role within the local community by offering affordable venues to Bay Area arts organizations and educators.
