Amira received more than 50% of the viewers' votes to win first place. She was awarded a trophy and a trip to Las Vegas to perform on the strip in 2014.
Juror Gordon Heuckeroth said of Amira, "Tonight, the Netherlands has become one world star richer,"
"Nessun Dorma" (English: "None shall sleep") is an aria from the final act of Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot, and is one of the best-known arias in all opera.
