Cellist Yo-Yo Ma, one of the great international artists of his generation, partners with Principal Guest Conductor Stéphane Denève to kick off a two-week John Williams celebration, performing his Cello Concerto. Then John Williams himself, a true living legend, conducts The Philadelphia Orchestra in a special evening devoted to his matchless movie music.

Yannick Nézet-Séguin discusses his fourth season with The Philadelphia Orchestra, which includes a season-long exploration of works that exemplify the Philadelphia Sound, including Mahler's Symphony No. 8 and numerous other pieces premiered by the ensemble; a three-week Vienna Festival; three new commissions; and a two-week tribute to John Williams.
