The Boys and Gentlemen of the Palestrina Choir of St Mary's Pro-Cathedral in Dublin, Ireland present an evening of beloved and sacred music and Irish choral repertoire at the Ware Center, located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster on Wednesday, April 15 at 7:30 pm. The Choir, consisting of 28 boys and 12 gentlemen is regarded as one of the finest Cathedral Choirs in Europe. The program features works by Palestrina, Victoria, Hassler and Monteverdi as well as Irish pieces and arrangements by Stanford, Armstrong and Mooney. This is an evening for all choral lovers especially those who hold Ireland dear to their hearts. The Palestrina Choir is co-presented by Tellus360.

Since its founding in 1903 it has recorded and travelled extensively as well as singing frequently each week at liturgies at the Pro-Cathedral, the Mother-Church of the Archdiocese of Dublin. The Choir is also called on to sing at key Diocesan and National events. It recently sang at the State Funeral of Albert Reynolds, it was the principal choir at the International Eucharistic Congress held in Ireland in June 2012 and had the honor of being invited by the Sistine Chapel Choir to join with them as the principal choir at the Papal Mass on the Solemnity of the Epiphany on January 6, 2013.

In addition to the performance, Tellus360 invites concert-goers to a pot luck dinner with The Palestrina Choir on Wednesday April 15 at 5 pm prior to the show. Tellus360 is located at 24 E. Tickets for this performance are $18 general, $15 senior, and $5 student. Tickets can be purchased by calling 717-871-7600 or visit www.ArtsMU.com.
