Ode to Joy Festival at The Hartt School Set for 9/25-28

Lions Gate Trio, The Hartt School's trio-in-residence, along with Hartt faculty, present Ode to Joy, a festival of Beethoven's chamber music, September 25 through 28. All events take place in Millard Auditorium, University of Hartford, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford. A reception will follow each concert. All are welcome and there is no admission charge.

Come hear Beethoven's complete violin and piano sonatas, his complete cello and piano sonatas, and other gems, including the Septet Op. 20, Scottish Songs Op. 108, and the Trio for Clarinet, Cello and Piano, Op. 11. Guest artists include pianist Michael Friedmann from Yale University, and guest speakers include Kenneth Nott from Hartt's own Music History Faculty and Lesley Karsten, a dramatic speaker from New York City.

The University of Hartford's Hartt School is a performing arts conservatory that offers innovative degree programs in music, dance, and theatre.
