Season after season, The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), India's premier arts and culture institution, presents the Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI), performing magnificent orchestral works by different composers, as well as music rarely, or never before heard, in Mumbai. The new season that takes place in February 2013 - 13, 17, 19 and 22 - has a plethora of musical greats in store. This season will Witness three varied concerts ranging from an all-Beethoven programme to the Indian premiere of a triple concerto - Melody of Rhythm - jointly composed by legendary artistes, Béla Fleck (banjo), Edgar Meyer (double bass) and Zakir Hussian (tabla). SOI Resident Conductor Zane Dalal will be conducting all the concerts this season.
