The Houston Symphony Chorus will be holding auditions for full membership on Saturday, January 11, 2014.

WHO: The Houston Symphony Chorus. This is an adult group of experienced choral singers who perform with the Houston Symphony.

WHAT: Chorus Auditions for the 2013-14 season, openings in all sections. Chorus concerts this season include Beethoven Mass in C, 100 Years of Broadway, and Mahler Symphony No. 8.

WHEN: Saturday, January 11, 2014.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Auditions are approximately 10 minutes long and consist of vocalization, tonal memory, sight-singing and a prepared piece of the singer's choosing. An accompanist is provided. The group rehearses Tuesday evenings at the University of Houston's Moores School of Music.

The Houston Symphony chorus is the official choral unit of the Houston Symphony and has performed on tour in Mexico and Europe.
