Dallas International Piano Competition to Continue, Thru 3/14

MASTER CLASS WITH ALESSIO BAX


Wednesday, March 11, 2015 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Caruth Auditorium - Meadows School of the Arts

Three pianists participate in this master class, taught by Alessio Bax. Audiences are welcome to observe these public piano lessons, which focus on solo repertoire.

ROUND 1 - QUARTERFINALS


Thursday, March 12, 2015 - 9:00am to 5:40pm
Caruth Auditorium - Meadows School of the Arts

Each of the 17 Quarterfinalists will perform concerto repertoire. Round 1 results will be announced at 6pm. A reception is provided for audience members and candidates while awaiting competition results.

ROUND 2 - SEMIFINALS


Friday, March 13, 2015 - 9:00am to 12:40pm
Caruth Auditorium - Meadows School of the Arts

Each of the 9 Semifinalists will perform from their repertoire for solo piano. Round 2 results will be announced at around 1:30pm. A reception is provided for audience members and candidates while awaiting competition results.

MASTER CLASS WITH DR. CAROL LEONE


Friday, March 13, 2015 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Caruth Auditorium - Meadows School of the Arts

Three pianists participate in this master class, taught by Dr. Carol Leone. Audiences are welcome to observe these public piano lessons, which focus on solo repertoire.

MASTER CLASS WITH JOAQUIN ACHUCARRO


Saturday, March 14, 2015 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Caruth Auditorium - Meadows School of the Arts

Three pianists participate in this master class, taught by Joaquin Achucarro. Audiences are welcome to observe these public piano lessons, which focus on solo repertoire.

ROUND 3 - FINALS


Saturday, March 14, 2015 - 5:00 to 7:30pm
Caruth Auditorium - Meadows School of the Arts

Five finalists shall perform a piano concerto. Winners are announced at the conclusion. A reception is provided for audience members and candidates while awaiting competition results.

Caruth Auditorium - Meadows School of the Arts

The winner of the Dallas International Piano Competition performs a 30-minute solo-recital at the conclusion of the award ceremony.
