BSO Announces New 'Student Select' Ticket Initiative

By: Aug. 28, 2013

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) announces BSO Student Select, a new discounted ticket program for college students. Starting August 26, all college students can pay $25 to purchase a BSO Student Select Card, good for admission to unlimited* concerts for the entire 2013-2014 season at both the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore, Md. and The Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda, Md., as well as access to the BSO's College Nights. College Nights welcome students to a post-concert party three times each year with free food, prizes and drink specials, as well as the opportunity to mingle with other students and BSO musicians. A complete schedule of College Nights in the 2013-2014 season can be found at BSOmusic.org/College. Student Select Cards can be purchased exclusively at BSOmusic.org/College. Student Select users must present their Student Select card and a student ID to enter all selected concerts throughout the entire season.

"The BSO has always been very accessible to students," said BSO Vice President of Marketing and Communications Eileen Andrews. "But this unique discount program takes our service to students to the next level. We believe that convenient access to a world-class orchestra and our programs enhances a college student's education, regardless of their major. Our hope is that many area students take advantage of this great deal."
