Beyond the formal mainstage concerts, Maestro Lipsky coaches high school students and leads chamber music concerts in senior centers. He leads the orchestra in family and youth concerts. The orchestra members present Instrument Petting Zoos at area schools and farmers markets. They introduce toddlers to music at KinderConcerts in district libraries. We wish to serve over 80,000 southeast Michiganders in 2015-16. Please consider making your gift before December 31, 2015.
For those taxpayers 70 ½ year of age or older, qualified charitable contributions paid directly from IRA accounts to charitable organizations will continue to be excluded from income and count toward the required minimum distribution (RMD) requirements imposed on those taxpayers.
