Fly fishing is a popular activity and noted for its angling method which uses an artificial "fly" to catch fish. To Wally Rentsch, author and fly-fishing enthusiast, fly-fishing is more than a means of recreation, it is a perfect activity for relaxing and finding inner peace and a sense of place. In his new book, Stream Feathers: Fly Fishing with a Naturalist, he invites readers on an adventure that will let them experience the mystique of fly-fishing and writing haiku in the wild Appalachian Mountains of Pennsylvania.

Set in Pennsylvania, the story chronicles hanging loose with a naturalist, Hoxie, in the fabled Bushkill Creek. There they not only have a good time fly-fishing, they become immersed in the beauty and wonders of the natural sceneries and encounter many unbelievable wildlife surprises around each downstream bend. Readers, too, will be thoroughly entertained as they witness the discovery and adventure of Hoxie's valiant quest to catch a trout, larger than his dad's 24-inch Brown Trout. Ultimately, the mission's outcome will reveal to him universal truths about life and living.

Author Rentsch, an avid fly-fisher and naturalist himself, has imbued his work with his love for the sport as well as insights on a naturalist's approach to fly-fishing. The resulting novel will prove to be both entertaining and insightful not just for fans of the activity but for those who enjoy a well-told tale of fly-fishing and the uniqueness of a stream valley environment.

Told by richly drawn character, Hoxie, Stream Feathers is at once a story of adventure unfolding in a breathtaking stream valley and a brilliantly wrought tale of a sense of place and what it means to truly live.
